President Ye Gaoxiang Leading a Delegation to Visit Romania and Germany2016-12-01 16:35:00

       President Ye Gaoxiang led a delegation to visit Romania and German from October 30th to November 6th. They visited four universities—Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB) in Romania, Erfurt University of Applied Sciences, Dresden University of Applied Sciences and Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences in Germany. President Ye and the delegates were invited to participate in the activities of two Confucius Institutes established by ZUST. The accompanying delegates included officials from the School of Biological and Chemical Engineering / School of Light Industry, the School of Foreign Languages/Chinese-German School, and the School of Humanities and International Education.

        During their stay in Romania, President Ye Gaoxiang and his delegation visited the Confucius Institute in Babeș-Bolyai University and attended the opening ceremony of Confucius Classrooms in Bistrita. The delegation also talked with the president of UBB, and discussed the further cooperation of the two universities. They also visited ZUST exchange students in UBB.

       During their stay in Germany, the delegation respectively visited Erfurt University of Applied Sciences, Dresden University of Applied Sciences and Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences. They enjoyed a warm welcome from these universities. The delegation held meetings with the university presidents, heads of relevant departments and deans of schools about the construction of Confucius Institutes, the development of programs currently underway, the feasibility of new programs and the preparations for the 6th Chinese-German Forum. They also called on ZUST exchange students in these universities. For the final gala event, the delegation was invited to join in the 5th anniversary celebrations of the Confucius Institute in Erfurt.
