Contestant from Confucius Institute of Cluj-Napoca Won Grand Prize in Romania 2017-05-24 15:22:00


        On May 13th, Mereanu Mara-Mihaela, the contestant from Confucius Institute of ZUST in Cluj-Napoca, won the grand prize in the Romania Division of the 10th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Secondary School Students, and has been advanced and now will take part in the final held in China this year on behalf of Romania.
         The competition was held by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Romania and the Confucius Institute in Cluj-Napoca. The theme of this competition was “My Chinese Dream”, and 17 contestants from Confucius Institutes in Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, Brasov and Bucharest competed in it, showing their Chinese language abilities by delivering wonderful speeches.
           Deng Liming, Head of Education Office of the Embassy of the PRC in Romania, the Chinese and foreign directors of Confucius Institutes and the heads of the relevant cooperative colleges attended this competition. Local media reported the competition.
