Prof. Gong Jianli Led a delegation to Germany and Lithuania

From May 4th to 11th, Prof. Gong Jianli, the Party Secretary of ZUST, led a delegation to Germany and Lithuania for an education investigation. They had visited Kaunas University of Technology in Lithuania, Lubeck Applied University of Science and Technology and Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Germany. The visit has yielded fruitful results for enhancing the cooperation between ZUST and the relevant colleges.
Prof. Gong Jianli, with the delegation, communicated with Prof. Petras Barsauskas, the president of Kaunas University of Technology and with the deans of relevant institutes. The two sides thoroughly discussed the exchange program, both of the undergraduate and graduate degree levels, and the establishment of a Confucius Institute. Finally, Prof. Gong, on behalf of ZUST, signed the intercollegiate exchange and cooperation framework agreement with Prof. Petras Barsauskas, the representative of Kaunas University of Technology.
At Lubeck Applied University of Science and Technology, Prof. Gong and the delegates participated in a meeting held by the Joint Management Committee of the China-German Engineers Institute. They engaged in productive negotiations on the operation and development strategy of the China-German Engineers Institute, and initiated a discussion about a newly added major to the master’s degree program. Additionally, they respectively met ZUST “2.5+1.5” project students of Civil Engineering at the School of Architecture and ZUST first exchanged project students of Civil Engineering at the China-German Engineers Institute. After soliciting from them a general knowledge of their learning and living conditions, Prof. Gong encouraged them to conquer all hardships and study with full effort for contributing to our society in the future.
During the visit in Hanover University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Gong talked with the President, Doctor Josef von Helden, about the long-time cooperation and the substantial achievements of the two universities and went on to a discussion of constantly deepening the cooperation between them. The Student Exchange Cooperation Agreements have been signed between the First Institute (Institute of Electrical and Information Technology) of Hanover University of Applied Sciences and China-German Engineers Institute and the Electrical Engineering Institute of ZUST respectively.
