Recently, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) announced that the project “Intelligent Optimal Control Research on Gradient Utilization of Wastewater in Large and Medium-sized Paper Mills”, led by Professor Shan Shengdao from ZUST, won the joint funding of Integration of Informatization and Industrialization from 2016 NSFC. The project’s life cycle is from 2017 to 2020, and the direct funding is up to RMB2.11 million yuan.
Aimed at the efficient and precise utilization of wastewater in large and medium-sized paper mills coupled with low-cost pollutant disposal, this project probes into developing the intelligent optimal control system with independent intellectual property rights in the hope of realizing relevant engineering validation and application in those paper mills. Research results of the project will provide theoretical and technical supports for pollution control and utilization of wastewater from paper mills, and its automation development in Zhejiang province, and even countrywide.
