DRC Survey Group Visits ZUST

On the morning of February 22th, Zhang Bingzi, the deputy director of No. 2 Research Office of Social Research Department from the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), came to ZUST together with his staff. Ye Gaoxiang, the President of ZUST, and Vice Presidents Feng Jun and Zheng Youqu, also attended the meeting.
On behalf of ZUST, Ye Gaoxiang showed warm welcome to the DRC survey group and briefly introduced ZUST. According to the content of the research, President Ye mainly delivered a report on measures and achievements of ZUST in aspects of cultivating applied talents, strengthening the construction of majors and subjects, combing production and education, and expanding cooperation with colleges and universities along the “One Belt, One Road” area. He also expressed four viewpoints on how to promote the cultivation of high-level applied talents.
After the briefing, the research group gave full recognition to ZUST’s achievements in teaching and future development plans, and then discussed some issues about the educational system, enrichment programs, administrative mechanisms, curriculum provisions, cooperation between schools and enterprises, recruitment of qualified teachers, the student internship program and so on.
Staff of relevant departments participated in the meeting.
After the meeting, the survey group visited Chinese-German Cooperation Exhibition Hall.
