A few days ago, the National Development and Reform Committee, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Human Resources jointly issued two files: “Implementation Plan of Modernizing Education Promotion Programs” and “Investment Administration of Modernizing Education Promotion Programs within the Central Budget”. The “Implementation Plan” indicates that the program of fusing education and industry is one of the practical ways to promote education modernization. This fusion program encourages university-enterprise cooperation in vocational colleges and universities, aiming to transform regular local colleges and universities to application-oriented ones, and to promote the construction and reform of university interns, laboratories and practice bases. ZUST’s program has been enlisted in the national planning programs of education and industry fusion.
As early as January 2016, the National Development and Reform Committee, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Human Resources issued “On the Preparation and Organization of Education and Industry Fusion Programs during the National 13th Five - Year Plan”. With the support of Zhejiang Provincial Education Department, ZUST actively prepared and applied the project—“Building ZUST’s Application-Oriented Talent Cultivation Center in Accordance with the Education and Industry Fusion Plan”. As a result, it successfully passed the review of the expert panel from Zhejiang provincial Development and Reform Commission in recent days. The investment to this project is anticipated to be RMB270 million yuan in the first phase and it will take three years to complete.
