On the evening of Nov. 15
th
, the third Oath-taking Ceremony of Academic Honesty was held in ZUST. Prof. Feng Jun, the vice president of ZUST presided over the ceremony. Prof. Ye Gaoxiang, the president of ZUST and Prof. Zhao Dongfu, the Deputy Party Secretary, attended it.
Prof. Ye Gaoxiang hoped that every student of ZUST would abide by the rules of academic honesty voluntarily to make ZUST one of the universities with the best academic integrity at home and abroad.
As the winner of “the Best 10 Teachers in the Eyes of ZUST Students” in 2015, Prof. Xue Youcai from the School of Sciences delivered a speech on behalf of teachers. He reminded students by his own experience that “honesty and integrity” was the foundation of a professional career and the treasure of life.
The student representative Luo Fenglong from Class 1601 of the School of Information Science and Jingzhu Academy appealed to students to value integrity as honor, and shun cheating as shame, and promote a realistic style of study and maintain the dignity of knowledge.
All student representatives signed “a letter of commitment of Academic Honesty”, put it in the “I Honest Bank” and solemnly took the oath.
After watching a short video of the previous “Honesty” activities, Prof. Zhao Dongfu hit the light of honesty and launched the activity “I Honest”.
ZUST General Office, Publicity Department, Office of Educational Administration, Student Affairs Office, Youth League Committee, Party Affairs Committee of Anji campus, officials of schools, representatives of university councilors and students all attended the oath-taking ceremony.
