President Of Middle Tennessee State University Visited ZUST

On the afternoon of May 12, a 4-member delegation led by Dr. Sidney A. McPhee, President of Middle Tennessee State University, and Andrew Oppmann, Vice President of Middle Tennessee State University visited ZUST. President Ye Gaoxiang and Vice President Zheng Youqu warmly received the delegation. Representatives of the International Office attended the meeting.

During the meeting, both sides introduced the general information and international cooperation of their universities respectively, and held a friendly negotiation on possible cooperation areas in which both are interested. Vice President Zheng Youqu presented ZUST’s English-taught courses to the US delegation. The two sides reached initial agreement on cooperation in student exchanges. After the meeting, Middle Tennessee State University and ZUST signed a memorandum of cooperation.

During the visit to ZUST, Dr. Sidney A. McPhee also gave a fascinating lecture on “American University Education” to the Chinese and international students of ZUST. The lecture was very successful and warmly received by the students.
