“Starry Night”—2016 Theme Graduation Gala

On the evening of May 29th, Welcoming G20 Summit · ZUST “Starry Night” 2016 Graduation Gala cum college students’ performance was held at A4-122 in Wenli Garden with a capacity crowd. Dr. Ye Gaoxiang, the University President, and Mr. Mao Jianwei, CCP member and minister of University Research Department, watched this gala with teachers and students.
The gala was hosted by Art Education Center and organized by College Students' Art Troupe. A musical sitcom with the story of Aman ran through the whole gala. It was a story of dream and persistence. There were various performances: melodious semichorus by boys and girls—“Nostalgia” and “Cloud in Hometown”, a mysterious and ethereal ethnic dance “Origin of Dai Minority”, classical zither performance—“Melodies from the Night Fisherman”, modern and dynamic cabaret—“CUBE & Assem” by foreign students, and a childhood-recalling drama –“Doraemon”, etc.
The gala is one of a series of events of “Greeting the G20 summit with achievements: exhibition on ZUST art education”. For the next event in the series, the Art Education Center will hold several activities like “Fragrance of Jasmine—ZUST Folk Music Concert”, “Lawn Music Festival” and so forth. Good preparations have been made in ZUST for the coming college students’ performance contest hosted in September by Zhejiang Provincial Education Department.
