First-ever Degree-awarding Ceremony for International Postgraduates Held in ZUST

On July 13, the degree-awarding ceremony for the 2016 international postgraduates was held in ZUST for the first time.
Vice-presidents Professor Zheng Youqu and Professor Wan Jian, CPC party committee member of ZUST and Director of postgraduate administration department Professor Mao Jianwei performed the traditional gesture of moving the tassel on graduation caps from the right side to the left side for the postgraduates, and awarded diplomas and school souvenir medals to them one by one. Postgraduates from different majors took a group photo with school leaders and mentors to mark the ceremony.
On behalf of the postgraduates, Edwin Menledy Gbor Jr expressed their gratitude for the rigorous cultivation they received from the school and teachers, showing that they will long remember the care and help of the ZUST staff. The representative of mentors Dr. Sha Ruyi delivered a speech. He encouraged the students to carry forward ZUST's spirit of “virtue and truth, practicality and creativity”, urging them to introduce Hangzhou and ZUST to more people when they return home and become friendly messengers of China and ambassadors of Chinese culture.
