In recent years, ZUST has made every effort to guide and organize the young PhD's and teachers to apply for NSFC programs. To help with their applications, ZUST held varied activities, such as trainings, lectures and academic salons, and invited experts from within and outside of the university to make a preliminary assessment of their projects. These 14 programs funded by NSFC have shown ZUST’s great efforts in discipline construction, scientific research and talent cultivation, which will markedly enhance the basic science research in ZUST and further motivate the teachers to engage in high-level scientific research.
