On the afternoon of Oct. 23, The Bavarian higher education delegation from Germany led by Mr. Bernd SIBLER, the State Secretary of the Bavarian State Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Art, paid a visit to ZUST. They were warmly received by Prof. Ye Gaoxiang, president of ZUST and Prof. Zheng Youqu, vice president of ZUST.
During the meeting, Prof. Ye introduced the history and development of the application-oriented higher education in China. The Deputy Director of the International Office briefly introduced the 30-year history of Chinese-German cooperation in ZUST. Then, the two parties exchanged ideas on the teaching, research and student enrollment of the application-oriented universities and further discussed the differences and trend of the application-oriented universities in the two countries. Also present at the meeting were directors from the International Office, the Development and Planning office, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, School of Biological and Chemical Engineering and School of Foreign Languages/Chinese-German Institute.
After the meeting, East Bavaria Regensburg University of Applied Sciences signed the inter-university exchange agreement with ZUST. So far, the number of our cooperation institutions in Germany reached 25.
